Tooth-Colored Fillings
A dental filling is a restoration used to repair teeth that have become affected by cracks, fractures, or decay. In just one appointment, the portion of the tooth that has become decayed or affected will be removed, and your remaining tooth will then be cleaned and filled.
Composite or tooth-colored fillings can be closely matched to the color of existing teeth. There are further dental options aesthetically suited for use in the front teeth or the more visible areas of the teeth.
Procedure
Your filling will be placed in just one appointment. In preparing your tooth for the dental filling, Dr. Nolasco will remove all dental decay and then thoroughly clean your tooth. If the decay was near the nerve of the tooth, a special medication may be applied for your protection. After preparation, the composite filling will then be precisely placed, shaped, and polished.
After your treatment, you will be given instructions and advice from Dr. Nolasco about how to care for your new restoration. It is perfectly normal to feel sensitivity in your filling immediately after the treatment. Dr. Nolasco’s instructions will tell you how to handle any short-term sensitivity and how to retain your newly restored oral health. Please call Time for Smiles Dental Center to schedule your next appointment with Dr. Nolasco to receive the restorative care you need for a radiant, healthy smile.
